Here’s why not to neglect your neck and why neck care should be part of your daily skincare routine!
When we think about skincare, we tend to focus all our energy (and products) on our face—but what about our necks? The skin on your neck is just as delicate, just as exposed, and just as prone to aging, if not more so! In fact, it’s often one of the first places to show visible signs of aging, including fine lines, crepiness, and loss of firmness.
So why does the neck age faster than the face?

Let’s start with the science!
The skin on our neck is thinner and contains fewer oil glands than the skin on our face. This means that the neck produces less natural moisture and is more prone to dehydration, sagging, and wrinkling over time. Add to that constant movement, sun exposure, and (for many of us) neglect, and it’s no wonder our necks can start to show age early on!

Your neck lacks the same amount of collagen and elasticity as your face, which makes it more susceptible to gravity and creasing.
Tech neck is real! Constant looking down at phones and laptops contributes to early wrinkling and muscle strain in the neck area.
SPF stops at the chin for most people—leaving the neck exposed and unprotected from harmful UV rays daily. Remember to apply SPF to the back of your neck too – as it’s exposed most of the day / the minute you tie your hair up ladies!
How to care for your neck—daily!
Okay, so we didn’t want to stress you out! It’s better to know and be able to do something before you see signs of aging, than to not and then you wonder why.. The good news? With a little extra love and consistency, your neck can look just as radiant and youthful as your face!
1. Cleanse:
Gently cleanse your neck (front and back) morning and night, just like you do your face. Pollution, sweat, and product buildup can settle here as well.
2. Exfoliate (weekly):
Use a gentle exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and encourage cell turnover. Avoid anything too abrasive—remember, neck skin is delicate!

3. Tone:
An active toner can help balance the skin’s pH, tighten the appearance of pores, and prep the skin for better absorption of your serums and creams.
4. Treat and moisturise:
Apply your serums and moisturisers using upward motions. Look for firming treatments with peptides, hyaluronic acid, and natural antioxidants to nourish and support skin structure.
